France, Monaco, & Monte Carlo

After six days in row of getting up at 5am and 6am to go on 8-10 hr. tours, we were tired as a mug this morning in France. This tour covered four cities on the Southern Riviera. It was a beautiful coast line.

Later on that day, after we returned from our excursion, we turned on the tv in our cabin and plastered all over the news was coverage of a terrorist attack in Paris (which is in the Northern part of the country). It was November 13, 2015. We watched in shock at the carnage. Our ship pushed out of port around 7pm CET. Two ours later, the Prime Minister of France shutdown the boarders…”nobody in – nobody out. Had the attack happened earlier, our ship would not have been allowed to leave the port…putting the rest of our cruise in jeopardy. Thank God for traveling mercies protecting us from dangers scene and unscene.
