MEN…here’s a project you can do to make this a special Thanksgiving for your mate:

1. Take a blank piece of paper and fold it in half (preferably in Landscape orientation)
2. On the outside, write “Top 3 Reasons Why I’m Thankful for You”
3. On the inside, list the top 3 reasons why you are thankful you have your mate in your life
4. Privately give the card to your mate on Thanksgiving morning.

Men, on Thanksgiving, don’t forget to show your women some thanks for all that has been giving. This little 10 minute project isn’t a Hallmark, but it will speak volumes in letting her know how much you appreciate her…especially if she’s the one that’s going to be cooking all day. If you’re unwilling to take just 10 minutes of your time to show your mate some appreciation, then you’ve completely missed the meaning of this Thanksgiving holiday.

TIPS

• If you can’t narrow it down to 3 reasons, then do the top 5 reason.
• For dramatic effect, start the numbering in descending order (3, 2, 1).
• Encourage your kids to make their own card and all of you present them to her on Thanksgiving morning.
• If you want to add some personal touches, copy and paste a memorable picture or two (that she would like) on the piece of paper before printing.
• If your kids have some construction paper, crayons, or colored markers…use those.
• If you struggle with finding the right way to make this really special for her, here is a suggested approach for giving her the card, “[pet name], it’s Thanksgiving. And I know this ain’t much, but I wanted to do something to show you how much I’m thankful to have you in my life.” Insert kiss…and hand her the card.
